A true legend. This band was founded in 1981, coinciding with the debut of Perfect, Maanam, and Izabela Trojanowska, but unlike their better-known peers, Szelest Spadajacych Papierków played noise and industrial. Associated with the artistic group Totart, the band didn’t play concerts — they performed extremely musical happenings, often ending with an armed intervention by the executive branch of the People’s government. They returned in 2008 after many years of silence, publishing the album “Kletnictwo,” but their live triple album “Trójmiejski Wiatr” is worth a try, too. That is, of course, if you enjoy “weird and abstract non-music.” |
