| The best proof of the saying that music knows no boundaries. Esau Mwamwaya was born in Malawi, in eastern Africa. He played drums in several groups, before emigrating to London, where he opened a second-hand shop. One day Etienne Tron, one half of the producer duo Radioclit, bought a bicycle from Esau, and the rest is history. Under the name The Very Best, the Frenchman, a Swede, and the Malawian from London recorded “Warm Heart of Africa,” one of the best world music records to come out in recent months. |
