| To those who still remember the late 80s and the start of the next decade, the American band Dinosaur Jr. is a symbol of grunge music — without their pioneer work in the genre, Nirvana would probably sound like Guns ’N’ Roses. The younger generation is likely more familiar with the albums published by the band in this century, “Beyond” and “Farm,” which melt garage rock, noise rock, hardcore, and metal into one precious stone. Either way, the Massachusetts trio belongs to the absolute canon of alternative music. Dinosaur Jr. will perform in Katowice in their original lineup: J Mascis (vocals, guitar), Lou Barlow (bass), and Murph (drums). |
